Lucknow: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday directed officials to expedite the land acquisition process for the sanctioned expressways.Reviewing big-ticket infrastructure projects during a meeting, Yogi discussed the progress of the Chitrakoot Link Expressway, Farrukhabad Link Expressway, Agra-Lucknow to Purvanchal Link Expressway, Jhansi Link Expressway, and Jewar Link Expressway.He directed the district magistrates concerned to accelerate the land purchase process for these projects and remove obstacles on priority.He said that extending and strengthening the network of expressways would promote investment, industrial activities, and balanced regional development across the state.Officials said that the main carriageway of the Ganga Expressway was complete and added that a team was deputed to finalise the detailed project report of the link expressway planned to connect the Ganga Expressway to Haridwar.On the progress of Noida International Airport in Jewar, officials said that the airport recently received the provisional aerodrome licence and that land acquisition and other development works were progressing rapidly.While reviewing the progress of multi-modal logistics and multi-modal transport hub being developed in Greater Noida, the CM directed officials to complete land acquisition and construction works within the timeline. Yogi also sought latest update on the Chilla elevated flyover in Noida.Reviewing irrigation department’s works, the CM sought the status of the Erach project in Bundelkhand. Similarly, the progress of thermal projects in Rihand and Obra areas of Sonbhadra was also discussed.The CM said that the works of upcoming exhibition centre in Vrindavan Yojana in Lucknow, the 300-bed cancer hospital, and the Night Safari in Kukrail should be given priority.He also sought details of the progress of industrial activity in Bundelkhand and road-widening projects being executed around the Nepal border.The CM asked details about the villages taken up under the zero-poverty scheme and the amount disbursed among youths found eligible under the CM Udyami Scheme.Yogi directed various departments to organise skill training programmes and loan fairs to support youths who set an example by running their businesses.
