T’puram: Revenue minister K Rajan inaugurated the compensation distribution for those whose land was acquired in the first phase of the Kattakada urban development project on Tuesday.The long-standing dream of developing Kattakada Junction is becoming a reality, and the land acquisition process is now transparent, said the minister who appeared online. The funds for the development of Kattakada Junction were allocated in the 2020-21 state budget. The project is being implemented in three phases, with land acquisition ongoing. In the first phase, compensation was given to those who relinquished land on both sides of the Kattakada-Neyyar Dam road. Compensation was provided to 150 people in the first phase. First phase includes the road from Muliyoor to Christian College, second phase covers the road from Kattakada Junction to Market Junction through Perumkulam. The third phase involves development of three connecting roads: Muliyoor-Poochedivila Road, Kattakada-Poochedivila Road and Christian College-Market Road.
