Chennai: Expelled AIADMK functionary V K Sasikala called on PMK founder S Ramadoss at the latter’s Thailapuram farmhouse and held discussions for nearly an hour. The two explored the option of teaming up for the assembly polls, said sources from both camps. The meeting comes in the backdrop of Sasikala’s plans to field candidates in nearly 40 constituencies, particularly in the thevar belt of southern districts. Ramadoss is said to be contemplating fielding candidates against those nominated by his son Anbumani Ramadoss in nothern districts.“DMK has closed its doors to Ramadoss. Though AIADMK is keen to take him in and offer a couple of seats, his son Anbumani is firmly against it and conveyed this to the AIADMK leadership. So he has no other option,” said a source. The Tuesday evening meeting was initiated by Sasikala, who recently unveiled her party flag for a yet-to-be-named outfit.
