Berhampur: Six persons, five of them from Uttar Pradesh and one from Tamil Nadu, were arrested for allegedly selling some household items suspected to have been stolen by them to villagers at Lembai under Ganjam district’s Tarsingi police station limits on Monday evening.The household items included four LED TV sets, 10 cooking gas chullahs, 23 watches, some pen drives, six mobile phone sets (6) and three two-wheelers worth around Rs 20 lakh seized from them, said Subhalaxmi Pujari, IIC, Tarasing police station, on Tuesday.The accused persons were identified as Vaazid Beg (31), Shorab Beg (24), Babar (31), Asad (19), Amir Khan (32), all from different villages in Uttar Pradesh’ s Shamli district and Toufeeq B (35) of Reddiar in Tamil Nadu’s Jolarpenta police station limits, police sources said.
