Patna: The wife of former minister Neeraj Kumar Singh Bablu had a narrow escape after her SUV collided with a cement-laden tractor on the Mokama-Bakhtiyarpur four-lane highway near Dahaur village in Patna on Monday. She was travelling from Patna to Mokama with her driver and security guard when the tractor suddenly tried to cross the road, leading to the crash. The SUV was badly damaged, but all occupants escaped. The tractor driver fled the spot after the accident. Police from Barh reached the site, cleared traffic, seized the tractor and launched a search for the driver. Drugs seized in Mokama: Police in Mokama carried out a raid on Monday, seizing 390kg of marijuana. Acting on specific intelligence about a large consignment, a police team cordoned off the area and searched the premises, recovering the ganja valued at several crores of rupees in the international market. Three alleged smugglers were arrested from the spot and are being interrogated to trace the source and intended destination of the consignment. An FIR has been registered and further investigation is underway.
