Kanpur: Police commissioner Raghubir Lal, along with additional police commissioner Vipin Tada and deputy commissioner of police (East) Satyajit, conducted an on-site inspection of Hatiya and Sarsaiya Ghat here on Monday to review security and arrangements in view of the historic Ganga Mela procession . Additional deputy commissioner of police (East) Anjali Vishwakarma, along with the ACPs concerned and local police force were present on the occasion.Officials were instructed to ensure all necessary arrangements for security, traffic management, and law and order during the procession. Meanwhile, the JalKal department announced that water supply will resume for 2 hours at noon across the city . Around 60 water tankers were also stationed at the Jal Kal headquarters to meet emergency requirements.
