Hazaribag: A 30-year-old man was killed after being hit by the Patna – Ranchi Vande Bharat Express near Hazaribag Town railway station on Monday. The deceased Ishwar Kumar alias Babu (30) was a resident of Nawatanr Kadma village under Katkamdag police station limits. Locals informed the police that Babu was on the railway tracks when he was hit by the moving train around 11 am and died on the spot. As the news broke, Babu’s family members and locals reached the spot. Babu, the locals said, was the youngest among his five siblings and the sole breadwinner of the family. It was not known why he was on the tracks. Pramod Kumar Rai, the officer-in-charge of Katkamdag police station, said, Babu committed suicide. “The reason is not known yet. We are gathering information from the friends and relatives of the deceased,” Rai said. Babu’s body was handed over to the family after postmortem examination.
