Kanpur: UP Energy Expo 2026 will be organised from May 7 to May 9 at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, Lucknow, bringing together stakeholders associated with the renewable energy sector on one platform.Senior regional director, PHDCCI, Atul Srivastava, while addressing participants at the UPEX pre-event awareness programme, said that the expo would feature over 150 exhibitors from India and abroad. Over 60 speakers in 10 special sessions would be discussing new technologies, policies and investment opportunities, he said.The industry stakeholders participated in the awareness programme held at Vikas Bhawan and discussed growing opportunities, policies and prospects in the solar energy sector.Deeksha Jain, chief development officer, who was the chief guest, stated that promoting renewable energy in Uttar Pradesh was the need of the hour. Initiatives like PM Surya Ghar, Free Electricity Scheme and PM KUSUM Scheme were encouraging households, farmers and industries to adopt solar energy, thereby strengthening sustainable development and energy security, she added.The Expo 2026 aims to position Uttar Pradesh as a major hub for clean energy investment. In keeping with the state’s growing solar energy goals, it would provide a platform to showcase rooftop solar, large solar projects, and commercial and industrial (C&I) solar solutions, said programme convener Parag Mishra.The expo will also include special sections like UP EV Expo, UP Smart Grid Expo and UP Storage Expo, which will showcase innovative solutions related to electric mobility, smart grid technology and energy storage.
