Ahmedabad: Four of the 10 institutions in Gujarat that were granted the status of Centre of Excellence (CoE) have accepted Common Admission Test (CAT) scores for admission to their MBA programmes, with 25% of the total seats in these institutes to be filled through the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC).Initially, admissions were planned for 151 seats across three CoE institutions and applications were invited from eligible candidates. However, during the application window, CEPT University decided to allocate 25% of its MBA seats through CAT scores as well. Following this decision, ACPC reopened the registration process and invited fresh applications from candidates.With the inclusion of CEPT University, the total number of seats under this category increased to 214. According to ACPC officials, 847 candidates registered for admission to these seats. After scrutiny, 706 candidates were included in the merit list.Before preparing the merit list, ACPC conducted the selection process, which included group discussion (GD) and personal interview (PI) rounds for applicants. Details of rejected or invalid applications were published on the official ACPC website.The provisional merit list will be released on March 10. Candidates who notice discrepancies in the list can raise queries via email between March 10 and March 13. After addressing the queries and making necessary corrections, the final merit list will be declared on March 17, following which the admission process will begin.According to the schedule, the mock round for choice filling will be conducted from March 17 to 20, with results to be announced on March 23. The first round of choice filling will take place from March 24 to 26, and seat allotment results will be declared on April 2. The fee payment and admission cancellation process will be held between April 2 and 5.The second round of choice filling will be conducted from April 6 to 8, with allotment results scheduled for April 10. Fee payment and admission cancellation for this round will take place from April 10 to 13, while details of vacant seats, if any, will be announced on April 14.
