Nagpur: After a long wait, Star Air will start the Nagpur-Nanded-Nagpur flight from March 31 under the Central government’s ‘UDAN’ scheme, bringing major relief to Nagpur residents and especially Sikh devotees visiting Takhat Sachkhand Sri Hazur Sahib in Nanded.Barring Friday, the service will operate throughout the week. On March 31, MP Ashok Chavan will welcome the flight at Nanded’s Shri Guru Gobind Singhji Airport. The Nanded to Nagpur flight will depart at 11.20am and land at 12.10 pm, while the Nagpur to Nanded flight will depart at 12.40pm and land at 1.30pm. Sources said the flight tickets will be priced from 2,326. The 88-seat aircraft will have only economy class, said sources. After reaching Nanded, the same aircraft will fly onward to Goa-Mopa.Star Air has also modified its Nagpur-Kishangarh (Ajmer) flight by extending the service up to Pune, giving an option for Nagpur passengers to reach Pune via Kishangarh. Star Air had earlier launched flights to Belagavi, Pune and Bengaluru. Currently, Nagpur-Kishangarh is the only operational service.
