Gandhinagar: Speaking at the 35th ‘Samuh Lagna’ ceremony of the Thakor community in Gandhinagar on Sunday, deputy chief minister Harsh Sanghavi urged people to treat their daughters-in-law with the same respect and love as one’s own daughters. He also urged community leaders to eliminate social evils.Referring to various govt schemes like Ayushman Bharat, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, and Kisan Samman Nidhi, the deputy CM said that the state is taking the lead in the country in providing direct assistance to poor and middle-class families. Quoting Sanghavi, the statement said that community leaders ought to make efforts to ensure that no family at the grassroots level is deprived of the benefits of these schemes.
