Prayagraj: In a first for the district, Prayagraj will host a Pink Employment Kumbh on International Women’s Day this Sunday, offering thousands of job opportunities exclusively for women.To boost women’s empowerment and push self-reliance, the state govt has planned this job fair, aimed at strengthening direct connect between women and employment. Assistant director (employment) Rajiv Kumar Yadav said the fair will be held at the Regional Employment Office, Prayagraj, on March 8, starting 10 am. Calling it the largest women-centric employment event in the district, Yadav said over 4,000 vacancies will be offered by 18 private companies, including Siddhi Infotech, V5 Global, Mahindra Limited, Axis Bank, and JCB India. Salaries range from Rs 12,500 to Rs 33,000. Women aged 18 to 35 years, with qualifications such as high school, intermediate, graduation, ITI, diploma, BTech, BCA and MCA are eligible to take part. Officials said the Yogi govt has been focusing on expanding employment avenues for youth under Mission Rozgar, skill development schemes and district-level job fairs. In the current financial year alone, 43 job fairs have been held in Prayagraj, providing employment to 5,976 candidates, they added.
