Ahmedabad: Three workers who sustained severe burns in a major fire at a snacks manufacturing factory in Maheshwari Industrial Estate in Madhavpura on March 3 succumbed to their injuries on Saturday. They were undergoing treatment at the Civil Hospital. The Madhavpura police registered a case of accidental death and initiated an investigation. The incident occurred around 2.30am on Tuesday at Aavkar Foods. The workers lived and worked on the premises. Police said a suspected short circuit triggered the blaze, leaving all three with severe burn injuries.The deceased were identified as Subhash Parmar, 26, and Arvind Parmar, 18, both residents of Bari Fara village in Aspur taluka of Rajasthan’s Dungarpur district, and Kuldeepsinh Rajput, 18, a resident of Khetakheda village in Neemuch district, Madhya Pradesh.All three were rushed to the Civil Hospital for treatment. Subhash and Arvind died on Thursday. Rajput died in the early hours on Friday, police said.
