Patna: Muzaffarpur DM Subrat Kumar Sen on Saturday held a meeting with officials concerned to strengthen the public awareness campaign on Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES) ahead of the summer season. Officials were instructed to ensure efficient hospital management and to put in place swift, accessible and smooth arrangements for treatment. At the state level, special preparations have also been initiated to make prevention measures and early primary treatment more effective across 18 AES-affected districts. As part of the plan, ORS and paracetamol syrup are being made available to ASHA workers and Anganwadi Sevikas to enable immediate primary treatment.
