CHANDIGARH: In a major development in the case involving Rapper Badshah, the Haryana police on Saturday initiated the process of releasing a Look Out Circular (LOC) against the singer. Police parties have been deployed to apprehend the rapper, and Panchkula police have removed the song from YouTube, with proceedings under way to remove the video from other platforms too.Singer accused Pratik Singh Sisodia alias Badshah has invited the ire of police, society and the women commission over alleged indecent content and picturisation of the song “Tateeeree”. Police said the process of releasing the LOC has begun so that the accused cannot leave the country. Panchkula police have also issued notices to remove related videos from all social media platforms.The case has been registered under Sections 3 and 4 of the (BNS) and the Independent Representative of Women (Prohibition) Act, 1986. According to police, the video shows minor girls in school uniforms throwing school bags and running away from studies. Police alleged the environment of school and education was misrepresented by using words like “cladework”. It was also alleged that the song used offensive and irreparable words towards women and girls.Police said an inquiry has also surfaced that a Haryana Roadways bus of Jind Depot has been shown in the video. They are investigating whether legal permission from the concerned department to show the bus in the video had been taken or not. Police said if the bus was used without permission, action would be taken, including under Section 120-B, against the concerned persons.Similarly, a government school complex has also been shown in the video. Police said they are investigating whether permission was taken from the competent authority for the shooting, and that action would be taken against the responsible persons if required.
