Noida: Police detained four people on Friday for questioning after a 39-year-old property dealer was shot dead near a residential society’s market complex on Wednesday. One juvenile accused is among those in custody. The gun used in the crime was also recovered from their possession.The accused were identified as Labbu alias Lokendra Solanki (26), Nikhil Solanki (24) and Priya Singh Solanki (28) – all are residents of Kavinagar, Ghaziabad. The juvenile accused is a 16-year-old boy. Along with the gun, police also recovered a car used in the crime and two cartridges. On Wednesday, Sahil Singhal, a resident of Ivy County, was allegedly shot multiple times during an argument with his girlfriend Priya and her family.According to police, Singhal had allegedly been in a relationship with Priya for four years, despite being married. Singhal’s family told cops Priya and her family had been demanding money from Singhal and pressuring him to divorce his wife so he could marry Priya. When he was unwilling to do so, tensions grew between them, cops said.Priya and the other accused confronted Singhal at his residence while he was celebrating Holi with his wife. One of the accused opened fire at Singhal and his wife, and Singhal suffered several gunshot wounds to the abdomen. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries during treatment.An FIR has been registered against the accused under BNS sections 103(1) (murder) and 3(5) (joint criminal liability) and sections 3, 25 and 27 of the Arms Act at the Sector 113 police station.
