CHENNAI: AICC General Secretary K.C. Venugopal announced AICC Secretary Christopher Tilak as the Congress candidate for the Rajya Sabha from Tamil Nadu. He is expected to file his nomination shortly as Wednesday is the last day for submission.Tilak is also the AICC in-charge for Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura and Sikkim. He has served in the TNCC SC/ST wing and the AICC youth wing. He has also previously served as in-charge for Andhra Pradesh and Odisha.An engineering graduate, Tilak was also a hockey player. He is a close associate of Congress leader of opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi.
