Udaipur: A police constable was killed and three others injured after a car heading to nab a warrant accused hit a divider and overturned on National Highway-48 in Udaipur Wednesday.Deputy Superintendent of Police Chandmal Singariya said constable Praveen Meena was travelling in his personal vehicle with three others when the accident occurred near RSW Mill in the Rishabhdev police station area. The team was on its way to Pipli village to trace a permanent warrant suspect. After the vehicle rammed into the divider and overturned, local police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to hospital. Meena was declared dead on arrival, while the three others, including another constable, are undergoing treatment. Meena was posted at Sarada police station in Salumber district and was a resident of Bhudhar village under Rishabhdev police station limits. Following postmortem, the body was handed over to his family. He will be cremated with state honours.
