Mandya: Mandya ZP CEO KR Nandini directed officials to ensure 100% progress in tax collection by March 15, warning that disciplinary action will be initiated against officers and staff who fail to meet the target.She also appreciated the executive officer and staff of Pandavapura taluk panchayat for achieving 100% tax collection, citing their efforts as a model for others.Chairing a progress review meeting at the ZP mini hall on Wednesday, she stated that taluk-wise targets were already fixed and stressed that the pace of collection must align with these goals. She particularly expressed concern over gram panchayat development officers and staff in areas where tax collection remained below 70%, instructing them to significantly improve performance before the next review meeting.The CEO emphasised the importance of daily door-to-door visits to boost collection efficiency.Reviewing the implementation of MGNREGA, she reiterated that e-KYC is mandatory for all labourers. Officials were directed to identify beneficiaries facing technical issues and report them promptly for resolution. She also instructed that ad hoc committee meetings be held daily to clear pending social audit objections, particularly those related to royalty payments. A 100-day campaign was launched to resolve local audit paragraphs and submit compliance reports.Nandini sought reports on library cess payments and differential allowances for supervisors. She mandated completion of geo-tagging for household toilets. Proposals for repairing drinking water units must be submitted immediately, she stated.
