Gandhinagar: Deputy chief minister Harsh Sanghavi on Tuesday said the BJP was committed to ensuring the safety of Gujaratis stranded in the Middle East conflict zone. He said the first evacuation flight carrying Indian passengers had landed in New Delhi and that the Gujarat BJP had launched helpline numbers to assist those affected.“Committed to the safety and service of Gujaratis in the global crisis situation. Standing with our people in any situation and providing maximum possible assistance in adverse circumstances is the core principle of the BJP,” Sanghavi said in a post on X. He added that the state unit of the BJP launched three helpline numbers to assist people whose family members or relatives are stranded in the region.During a visit to the Ranchhodraiji temple at Dakor, Sanghavi said the Union govt issued the necessary advisories and the first flight carrying Indians from the war zone reached Delhi. “Everyone should follow the information provided by the Embassy,” Sanghavi added.Sanghavi visited the temple around 3am, offered prayers, and participated in the Rangotsav celebrations. He also presented a ceremonial dhwaja (holy flag) at the feet of Lord Ranchhodrai as part of the traditional rituals, an official statement said.
