Hyderabad: Revenue and housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy criticised Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan for targeting the Congress govt in Telangana, accusing him of seeking political mileage ahead of the upcoming assembly elections in Kerala.“The Congress party and the Congress govt have always stood for the poor and remain committed to their welfare. Protecting govt lands is about safeguarding assets for future generations. Labelling these actions, which are carried out according to rules and regulations, as ‘Bulldozer Raj’ is nothing but an attempt to mislead the public,” Ponguleti said.He added that the Congress govt remains committed to ensuring justice for every eligible poor beneficiary through the Indiramma Indlu housing scheme. “The land mafia in Khammam district’s Velugumatla village sold bhoodan land using fake documents to innocent people. The poor affected by the razed houses will be provided housing,” he said. The govt will take necessary action against the land mafia to ensure the money collected is refunded to the people.
