Kanpur: A 25-year-old youth from Kannauj was arrested on charges of posting objectionable photographs of a minor girl from Tamil Nadu on the internet. Tamil Nadu police took him into custody and took him to Tamil Nadu. The girl’s parents filed a report in Tamil Nadu. Police said that the youth befriended the girl through Instagram. His father, having a business in Tamil Nadu, lived there with his family. During the Covid pandemic, he returned to Panganwa village with his family. The accused, allegedly uploaded objectionable photographs of the girl.On Sunday, TN police reached Gursahaiganj Kotwali. Inspector Mithbul Devi of Kanyakumari police station arrived and arrested the accused.Kotwali in-charge Ajay Kumar Awasthi said . “The youth had posted objectionable photographs of the girl on social media. A case was registered against the youth in Tamil Nadu, and TN police arrested the wanted accused and took him along with them.” tnn
