Prayagraj: The Special Task Force (Prayagraj unit) sleuths on Sunday arrested a criminal —Mohd Amir, a resident of Mauaima near Delhupur road in Pratapgarh district—wanted by Pratapgarh police in connection with a case of cow slaughter. He was booked under section 303(2) of BNS and section 3/5/8 of UP Prevention of Cow Slaughter Act. He was also carrying a Rs 50,000 cash reward on his head.Amzir admitted that he, along with his accomplices, stole cows and slaughtered them at Barsanda village under the limits of Dehlupur police station in Pratapgarh district on Jan 16 and escaped.He had been changing his hideouts to evade police action. tnn
