Kolkata: Bengal govt transferred 13 IPS officers on Saturday, with officials describing this as a routine administrative move. Similar transfers were made on Feb 25.ADG CID Vishal Garg will now be ADG-IG, Western Zone. Ashok Kumar Prasad, ADG Western Zone, will now be ADG, Cyber Cell. IG, North Bengal Rajesh Kumar Yadav will now be IG, Bankura Range.Howrah joint commissioner Sarbari Rajkumar will now be DIG, CID with Gaurav Lal taking over as the new Howrah joint commissioner. Lal was the DIG of CID. Praween Prakash has gone from Armed Forces 6th Battalion to Barrackpore SSF Battalion.Raiganj DIG Sudhir Kumar Neelakantam is taking over as DIG, Murshidabad Range, with Syed Waquar Raza getting transferred to Jalpaiguri. DIG Jalpaiguri Sanotsh Nimbalkar will be DIG Raiganj. Shishram Jhajharia is the new IG, Traffic while Sukesh Jain is IG, North Bengal.Parijat Biswas assumed charge as SP East Midnapore. East Midnapore ASP Mithun De has been shifted to GRP Kharagpur Division. Dyutiman Bhattacharya has taken over as DCP (South), Barrackpore. Papia Sultana is the new deputy assistant commissioner-SP, Barrackpore.
