COIMBATORE: IndiGo Airlines has cancelled its flights between Coimbatore and Abu Dhabi after airspace was closed by Middle East countries in the wake of the attack on Iran by Israel and the US on Saturday. IndiGo operates four weekly flights from Coimbatore to Abu Dhabi with the departure time at 2.55 pm. It notified that the flights for Saturday and Sunday were cancelled and further updates on other services would be provided on Monday. An IndiGo official said, “It was just a few minutes before departure that we received information that the airspace was closed and flights were cancelled. About 155-160 passengers who were about to travel were informed of the situation. Refunds were given. Some passengers rescheduled their travel to next week.”IndiGo has given the following helpline number: 0422 2574428.
