Jaipur: The state govt decided to extend the deadline for residents to submit suggestions on the Comprehensive Mobility Plan (CMP) for Jaipur by another seven days, till March 6, after receiving a huge response.The Jaipur Development Authority (JDA), in collaboration with RITES, prepared the report with proposals on traffic-related infrastructure to cater to a projected population of over 1 crore by 2055.“Since CMP has been made public for residents to view and submit opinions, they have received a huge number of suggestions, several being acceptable. Now, residents can send their suggestions by March 6 till 6pm.” a JDA official stated.On Feb 18, JDA made the draft of CMP public, welcoming suggestions and comments from public. Initially, JDA set a deadline until June 26 for residents to submit their proposals or suggestions. “This important draft aims to develop a smooth, safe, inclusive, and sustainable transportation system in the city. We are seeking suggestions and comments from the public, various stakeholders, experts, educational institutions, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), ensuring widespread public participation in the city’s development. We have received requests from several residents and experts to increase deadline of the review process,” an official added.The draft CMP is available on JDA’s official website for online viewing for the next seven days. “Citizens, departments concerned, and organizations can submit their suggestions, comments, or objections to the email ID riip201019016492@rajasthan.in,” an official stated.
