Ahmedabad: The fourth convocation of the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) in Gandhinagar on Friday evening was a landmark celebration of academic achievement, as a total of 1,799 students from 66 specialised programmes officially received their degrees. The prestigious event was graced by Justice Surya Kant, Chief Justice of India (CJI), who served as the chief guest. Adding further weight to the ceremony were guests of honour Harsh Sanghavi, Deputy Chief Minister of Gujarat, and Justice Sunita Agarwal, Chief Justice of the High Court of Gujarat.Dr J M Vyas, Vice-Chancellor of NFSU, addressed the gathering, noting that out of the total graduating students, 98 were international students, reflecting the university’s global appeal. He elaborated on the diverse student profiles, extensive training programmes for in-service officials, and the critical investigative role of NFSU in the modern justice system. He further revealed ambitious expansion plans, stating that apart from 13 campuses in India and one in Uganda, several more will soon be established. The ceremony concluded on a high note as a total of 52 gold medals were conferred on meritorious students for their exceptional academic performance.
