Panaji: Govt declared March 11 a paid holiday for the Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP) elections. The notification, issued by the general administration department, aims to ensure that eligible voters can exercise their franchise.The holiday applies to all entitled to vote in the CCP elections, who are employed in commercial stores, private companies and businesses, industrial units, govt departments, and daily wage workers. State govt directed the labour commissioner and other relevant departments to ensure that all establishments comply with the order.
