Kanpur: A hoax call about a bomb at the Kanpur Central Railway Station was recieved at the Control Room 112 late on Friday evening, prompting an intensive search and security operation at the station. Concerned police units and the BDS team were dispatched to the station after the call, and an intensive search of all platforms was conducted. However, no explosive was found. On tracing the caller’s number it was learned that the concerned person’s mobile phone was lost, and it was suspected that someone used the lost mobile to make the misleading call. CCTV footage was being examined.DCP East Satyajeet Gupta said that teams were working to identify the caller and take necessary action. tnn
