Xiaomi 17 Ultra along with the Pad 8 will be unveiled on Feb 28
Xiaomi 17 Ultra is launching tomorrow as the company brings a few more devices to the market, including the new Xiaomi Pad 8 tablet. Xiaomi introduced the new 17 series flagship phones in China back in September last year, and the wait has been unusually long to see these devices announced in India and other regions.
We are around 24 hours from seeing all the products unveiled by the company for global markets and India. The 17 Ultra will obviously grab most of the attention but it would be hard to ignore the others on the list.
Xiaomi Pad 8 And Xiaomi 17 Series India Launch
Xiaomi Pad 8 and the Xiaomi 17 series are launching globally on February 28, 2026 at 18:30 PM IST and this lineup includes the premium Leica-toting Xiaomi 17 Ultra model. All these devices will be shaping the real action for the brand and we will be seeing them unveiled at the event later this week.
Xiaomi 17 Ultra Launch: What To Expect
Xiaomi 17 launched in China sports a 6.3-inch OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. It comes with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage that are paired with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The new phone gets Android 16-based HyperOS 3 version out of the box.
It has a 50MP triple camera system with Leica-tuned lenses. And finally you have a 7,000mAh battery this year supported by 100W wired and 50W wireless charging speeds but the global variant could have different specs.
Xiaomi 17 price in India should be around Rs 75,000 but it could easily cross the 80K mark this time around. And going by other premium devices, the 17 Ultra price in the country could be well above Rs 1 lakh when it launches this week.
Xiaomi Pad 8 looks a different version from Pad 7 and by that we mean, the build quality, the hardware powering it as well as the accessory that work with it. The product teaser shows a track pad on the keyboard for the tablet which is a big change from the Pad 7 model unit. The Pad 8 is also getting a new stylus from the company, a thinner design also seems confirmed and even then you can expect a large battery pack.
