Kanpur: In a joint operation by the Crime Branch team, Central Zone Surveillance team and Bekanganj police station, a man was arrested with 70 spools of banned Chinese manjha in Kanpur on Thursday. A case was registered against he accused, Arif Saifi, and he was presented in the court.Additional commissioner of police (crime and headquarters) Sankalp Sharma said, “During interrogation, important information has been obtained from the accused regarding the sources of banned manjha. Further legal action is being taken.”Under the campaign by Kanpur Commissionerate, two cases were registered with the arrest of three accused with 20 spools of the manjha. A total of four persos have been arrested so far and 100 spools of the banned manjha were seized.
