Bengaluru: Gold jewellery, weighing 816 grams and valued at Rs 1.1 crore, was stolen from a residence in Hebbal.The complainant, Anis Fatima, who resides on the first floor of a multi-storey residential building, initially suspected the domestic help and the building’s security guard. However, preliminary probe ruled out their role in the theft. Instead, police suspect the ornaments were stolen by someone in the family. One person has been detained and efforts are on to identify others.Fatima told police she stays with her younger sister. All the gold ornaments were kept in an almirah in Fatima’s bedroom. Fatima said she last saw the ornaments on Dec 22, 2025. When she checked the cupboard on Feb 20, she found them missing.
