Ludhiana: Wanted gangster Hari Chand Jatt alias Harry Boxer, who is said to be the member of Lawrence Bishnoi gang, has allegedly made an extortion call to a Ludhiana-based businessman associated with renowned Punjabi singer Parmish Verma. The caller, claiming to be Harry Boxer, threatened to shoot Parmish Verma, his business associate and the latter’s family, for not paying him Rs 10 crore.The Sarabha Nagar police have lodged an FIR on the complaint of Harvinder Singh Hardy, a resident of BRS Nagar, under sections 308 (2) (extortion) and 351 (3) (criminal intimidation) of the BNS.In his complaint to the police, Harvinder Singh said he was a businessman and also worked with Punjabi singer Parmish Verma as he takes care of his events. Since Feb 14, he has been receiving calls and messages from different international numbers. The accused caller, introduced himself as gangster Harry Boxer- an associate of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, and demanded Rs 10 crore. The accused threatened to shoot him, his family and Parmish Verma for not giving the money.The complainant added that he lived with his wife, two kids and mother and was worried for their safety.The Sarabha Nagar police have lodged an FIR against unidentified accused.
