Chennai: Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB) on Wednesday released the first phase of assistant professors’ exam results for govt arts and science colleges for five subjects — history education, human rights, Indian culture and tourism, marine biology, and wildlife biology. As many as 42,064 candidates appeared for the written test on Dec 27, to fill 2,708 vacancies.“The mark list will be published in a phased manner as and when evaluation is completed. The evaluation of paper II is in process,” a release said. For subjects which have less than five vacancies, one in three candidates will be called for certificate verification and interview.Earlier, the board released the tentative answer key along with the objection tracker for part A and part B on Jan 5. “All representations received within the stipulated time were thoroughly examined by the subject experts. After the scrutiny, final key answers were arrived by the experts.”For the five subjects, the certificate verification and interview will be conducted on March 23 and 24. The call letter for certificate verification and interview will be released in the candidate dashboard. Individual candidates will also receive the intimation through mail and SMS, the board said.Candidates can check their results on trb.tn.ac.in.
