Jaipur: State education department Saturday launched the ‘My Career Advisor’ mobile app for students, a digital intervention aimed to provide “personalised career guidance” to students.
The innovation, in line with National Education Policy-2020, is an AI-based career awareness and guidance app developed by the Union ministry of education and will offer advice to students based on their interests, abilities, and skills.
A statement by the chief minister’s office said students can conduct their self-review through 3 major assessments on aptitude, interest, and values on the basis of which the app suggests AI-based career insights and matched roles.
The interactive app will also offer job options with and without college degrees, apart from allowing students to create their profiles, choose preferred career options, and share their self-review report with parents, teachers, and advisers to make career-related decisions more effective.
The app contains information about over 1500 career options and job roles, including opportunities in art and design, business and marketing, engineering, health, sports, media, science, education, travel, hospitality and environment.
