Panaji: The Kala Rakhon Maand (KRM) on Wednesday alleged that the results of the recent Marathi drama competition at Kala Academy (KA) were rigged. They alleged that Kala Academy staff influenced the ‘A’ group drama competition’s results by offering Rs 50,000 and a liquor bottle.They met the KA chairperson, Chandrakant Kavalekar, on Wednesday, and demanded an investigation and that an FIR be registered against the culprits. “This incident has soiled KA’s name in Goa as well as Maharashtra, raising the question of whether or not artistes must participate in the competition henceforth” said KRM member, Devidas Amonkar. tnn
