Samsung is going to start a new trend with displays and you can expect other Android brands to offer it as well.
Samsung could start a new and a useful trend in the market this year
Samsung has teased a new privacy display which will be introduced with the Galaxy S26 Ultra this week and it seems other brands already plan to copy it for their Android phones. None of the brands in China have confirmed the news but a reliable tipster has suggested that the likes of Oppo, Xiaomi and even Vivo could adopt this useful feature for its upcoming phones, and even make it work on the hardware side like Samsung plans to offer.
The privacy display is basically there to help people from stopping others from prying into their screen, which becomes an issue when you are using banking apps or typing a password in the open.
More Phones With Privacy Display: Good News?
Privacy displays have become inevitable with the amount of screen time people have every day. We use phones for everything and that puts the display as important as your data in many aspects.
So, keeping the screen secure from others is a good way to avoid any mishap. This panel means when you are making a payment, the person on the side cannot see anything and it will be blacked out for OTPs and other confidential information.
We will get a closer look at the privacy display on the Galaxy S26 Ultra from Samsung which will be announced in a few hours from now. “Samsung will soon unveil a new layer of privacy to shield your phone from shoulder surfing wherever you go. You’ll have the space to check your messages or enter a password on public transit without thinking twice about who might be watching”. This is a teaser to the privacy feature that we have heard about with various Galaxy S26 Ultra leaks in the last few weeks.
Even the clips from Samsung in its post suggest major changes to how the privacy screen operates and we are excited to see behind the scenes work that has delivered the new shield.
