Prayagraj: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will roll out its recruitment cycle for 2026-27 beginning March this year.Between March and Sept 2026, applications will be invited for 9 major examinations covering a wide range of posts across central govt departments and forces. The drive will commence in March with the notification for the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination 2026. In the same month, the commission will also open applications for the Junior Engineer (civil, mechanical and electrical) Examination 2026 and the Selection Post Phase-14 Examination 2026. Applications for these three examinations will be accepted till April end, with their first-phase computer-based tests proposed in May. April will witness the release of notifications for three additional examinations — the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Examination 2026, the Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and ‘D’ Examination 2026, and the Junior Hindi Translator Examination 2026. The application window for these exams is expected to remain open till May end with examinations likely between July and Sept. In May, SSC will notify the Sub-Inspector recruitment examination for Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). Applications will be accepted until June, and the examination is tentatively scheduled for Oct–Nov. Further, the Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) and Havaldar recruitment examination for posts under Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs and Central Bureau of Narcotics will open for applications in June and July, with examinations slated between Sept and Nov. Applications for constable (GD) posts in CAPFs, NIA and SSF, along with rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles for the 2027 recruitment cycle, will be invited in Sept–Oct. The examination for these posts is expected between Jan and Mar 2027.
