Bhilwara: Six fire brigade vehicles from Bhilwara municipal corporation were deployed to control a massive fire that broke out in a warehouse of a factory that manufactured school uniforms in RIICO Phase-3 area under Pratap Nagar police station limits in Bhilwara city Monday evening.Bhilwara SP Dharmendra Singh said, “The fire was so massive that flames and smoke could be seen from far away.” He said the cloth stored in the warehouse was reduced to ashes.
Police are investigating the cause of the fire, the SP said. Bhilwara City DSP Sajjan Singh said, “We reached the spot along with Pratap Nagar and Gandhi Nagar police station personnel. Six fire tenders from the municipal corporation and fire tenders from private textile factories also reached the spot and the fire was extinguished. However, due to it being a textile warehouse, the fire is still smouldering and will be brought under control soon. Fortunately, there was no loss of life in the fire.”Police diverted traffic by restricting movement in the textile industry area while the firefighting efforts were underway.
