Srinagar, February 21 2026: On the third of Ramzan, the death anniversary of Hazrat Fatima (RA), the beloved daughter of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), was observed with deep devotion and reverence.
In keeping with tradition, a Majlis Waaz-o-Tableeg was held at Naqshband Sahib, where Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Molvi Umar Farooq delivered a sermon to commemorate her life and pay tribute to her enduring legacy.
Addressing the gathering, Mirwaiz highlighted that Hazrat Fatima (RA) remains a timeless symbol of dignity, faith, and moral strength. He emphasized her profound role as a daughter, wife, and mother, noting that the foundation of a strong family and a healthy society is built within the home. At a time when moral values are steadily declining and material pursuits increasingly overshadow spiritual principles, he said, the life of Hazrat Fatima (RA) offers vital guidance for the community.
Mirwaiz stated that as a daughter, she was deeply devoted to her father, standing by him during times of hardship and offering unwavering comfort and support. As a wife, she fostered harmony, patience, and mutual respect within her household, demonstrating that strong families are founded on compassion, sacrifice, and shared responsibility.
As a mother, Hazrat Fatima (RA) nurtured her children with faith, strong character, and resilience, raising personalities who became guiding lights for the Ummah. He stressed that the upbringing of children is not merely a duty but a sacred trust, and that mothers play a central role in shaping the moral and spiritual direction of future generations.
Mirwaiz urged the community to revive the values of faith, simplicity, and character-building within their homes, drawing inspiration from the life of Hazrat Fatima (RA) to strengthen families and safeguard the moral fabric of society.
