Lucknow: Samajwadi Party on Friday played up the Brahmin card by demanding a public holiday on Parshuram Jayanti. Raising the issue, party’s chief whip Kamaal Akhtar said: “Lord Parshuram is revered by all Hindus. Keeping this in mind, the previous SP govt had announced a public holiday to mark Parshuram Jayanti. This was, however, cancelled by the Yogi govt.” Speaker Satish Mahana rejected the demand saying that there are many saints and Gods in Hindu religion and the govt cannot declare holidays for all of them.‘Civil servants’ property details already in public domain’UP govt on Friday said property details of civil servants are available on public domain and stringent action is taken against those who do not comply with the order. Replying to a supplementary by SP MLA Ravidas Mehrotra, parliamentary affairs minister Suresh Khanna said there are provisions for civil servants to declare their movable and immovable assets. Khanna said one civil servant has been placed under suspension since 2019 for not declaring his assets. He said each civil servant is bound by rules to declare their property.‘1K youths to be sent for jobs abroad soon’Labour minister Anil Rajbhar said UP govt has sent 6000 workers to Israel for jobs and together they are sending Rs 1000 crore per annum in the country. Replying to a supplementary question asked by Congress MLA Aradhna Misra ‘Mona’, Rajbhar said 1000 more youths will be sent for jobs abroad. He said the govt was taking care to ascertain that the youths going to Israel were not in war-affected areas. He said none of the workers who have gone to Israel have given any complaint of any issues in Israel until now. The minister said the govt will send youth to other countries like Japan, Croatia, Germany for jobs.Over 8.45L got govt jobs since 2017: Min Over 8.45 lakh youths have got govt jobs in UP since the Yogi govt came to power in 2017, said labour minister Anil Rajbhar in reply to a supplementary question by SP MLA Dr Hriday Narain Patel. He said time was coming when youths from other states will come to UP for jobs because of the prosperity and growth being witnessed under Yogi govt.‘No outsourced employee will be removed from jobs’ Replying to a supplementary question by SP MLA Ragini Sonker, labour minister Anil Rajbhar said no outsourced employee will be removed from jobs. He, however, said there was no plan to regularise the services of outsourced employees. Citing a Supreme Court order, he said no outsourcing employee will be removed except in case of complaints against them.
