The saffron party members and leaders have slammed the act as “shameful” and demanded an apology from Congress bigwhig Rahul Gandhi and the party’s leadership.
In New Delhi Delhi, heavy security was deployed ahead of the production of Youth Congress workers at the Patiala House Court.
Simultaneously, BJP leaders and workers organised protests in the national capital against the Youth Congress’ actions at Bharat Mandapam. A BJP Yuva Morcha worker, speaking during one such protest, termed the incident “very shameful.”
The political flashpoint began at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi, the venue of the India AI Impact Summit, where Youth Congress workers held what has been described as a “shirtless protest” during the event.
The demonstration, carried out in full public view at a summit attended by policymakers, technologists and global delegates, drew swift condemnation from the ruling party.
From Jammu to Mumbai
However, the BJP protests were not confined to Delhi.
In Jammu, BJP workers held demonstrations against the Congress party, denouncing the Youth Congress’ protest at the AI Summit. Similar scenes played out in Surat, Gujarat, where party workers gathered to condemn the Congress over the disruption.
BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi accused the grand old party of having “fallen from grace” by embracing “stupidty to nudity” in their political tactics.
“The AI summit has become a matter of pride for everybody, but the manner in which Congress has fallen from grace from stupidity to nudity is a very shameful act done by Congress. It cannot be termed or subsided as just a mere politics or the mere negative politics. It amounts to disrespecting the nation and it seems that Rahul Gandhi, who has said that he has to fight the Indian state,” he said
“The soldiers of Lashkar-e-Rahul have come and are trying to damage the image of India… The entire country is very much in anguish and very much disturbed by this dastardly act of Congress and they will not be pardoned by the people of this country,” the BJP leader added.
The India AI Impact Summit, hosted in New Delhi at Bharat Mandapam, is positioned as a major global forum to showcase India’s advances in artificial intelligence, foster international collaboration, and underline the country’s technological ambitions.
The five-day event has drawn participation from industry leaders, policymakers, startups and global stakeholders.
