Buldhana: A 55-year-old farmer allegedly died by suicide in Wadi village, Buldhana district. The deceased, identified as Bhaskar Laxman Tayade, was found hanging at his residence on Thursday morning.Police recovered a purported suicide note from the spot in which Tayade named three persons and alleged continuous financial exploitation and mental harassment by moneylenders.According to the note and the preliminary investigation, Tayade had borrowed money from the accused and registered his land in their names on the assurance that it would be transferred back to him after full repayment.Police said the note mentions that Tayade had paid ₹1.49 lakh to the accused. Despite this, the land was not transferred back to his name. He was allegedly being pressured to pay an additional ₹2 lakh along with interest. Based on a complaint filed by Gajanan Tulshiram Waghode, the Khamgaon police registered a case against Someshwar Namdev Damodar, Pravin Santoshrao Kharode alias Nikhil Deshmukh, and Vijay Tryambak Ingale. Rameshwar Pawar, in-charge of Khamgaon City police station, said one of the accused has been arrested and produced before a court, which remanded him to judicial custody.The investigation is being carried out under the supervision of Pradeep Patil, deputy superintendent of police, Khamgaon division. Officials said technical verification of financial transactions and scrutiny of land registration documents are underway.
