CHENNAI: The bomb disposal squad of the Tamil Nadu police conducted searches in the high security zone of the Madras high court on Thursday, following a bomb threat received through an email from an unidentified person.The email was sent to the registrar general of the high court claiming that RDX bombs stuffed with cyanide will be detonated in the high court premises. Following an alert received from the high court registry, the bomb disposal squad of the state police rushed to the site and conducted a complete search in the entire premises, including the chambers of the Chief Justice and car parking areas of judges. The threat was later ruled out as a rumour.
