Rajkot: A horrific late-night crash on the Jetalsar railway overbridge in Rajkot district left three dead and one critically injured early Sunday, after a speeding car carrying four people smashed into a wall and overturned while returning from the Bhavnath fair in Junagadh.The deceased were identified as Arun Vala (20), Muskan Bagda (21) and Jaydeep Chauhan (20). The fourth occupant, Amish Parmar, sustained critical injuries and is undergoing treatment. Jetpur taluka police have registered a case and launched an investigation.Police inspector A R Herma said the four were travelling in a Skoda car and were on their way back to Jetpur when the driver allegedly lost control due to overspeeding. The vehicle rammed into the overbridge wall and overturned.Arun and Muskan died on the spot. Jaydeep and Amish were rushed to a Junagadh hospital, where Jaydeep later succumbed to his injuries while Amish remains in critical condition.Police said Arun, Jaydeep and Amish were residents of Dasijivan Para in Jetpur Navagadh, while Muskan hailed from Raydi village in Jamkandorna and worked as nursing staff at a private hospital in Jetpur.Investigators are yet to ascertain who was driving the car at the time of the accident. Officials said further clarity is expected once Amish, the lone survivor, regains consciousness and is in a condition to record his statement.
