Ballari: In connection with the alleged theft of 4.5kg of gold from the Sabarimala Ayyappa Swamy Temple, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) from Kerala carried out raids in Ballari city on Saturday.According to sources, the five-member team carried out searches at Roddam Jewellers on Bengaluru Road, owned by Govardhan Roddam, and at his residence at Parvati Nagar in the Fort area.During the raids, the officials reportedly seized certain documents and gathered details related to the business transactions of Roddam. Bank account details of his family members were also collected, and passbooks were taken into custody. Investigators reportedly examined the newly constructed entrance door of his residence as part of the inquiry.The SIT, however, did not officially release any statement regarding the latest raids. Local police officials also did not disclose details about the operation.
