Jamshedpur: Four men were arrested from parts of Jamshedpur in connection with the murder of the city-based trader Kanhaiya Yadav on Feb 11, the police said on Friday. A firearm and pellets were recovered from them.SSP Piyush Pandey said a fight between Kanhaiya’s son Rahul and a local youth, Sumit Singh, escalated into a quarrel between their two families, which led to the murder. “There is a history of enmity between the two families, and the recent fight between Rahul and Sumit was the trigger,” the SSP said.Besides 24-year-old Sumit, Gurupreet Singh (24), Amrik Singh (26) and Raza Alam (24) were arrested. All the accused are residents of Golmuri police station limits. “A country-made pistol, seven cartridges and three pellets were recovered from them,” Pandey said.“Raids are underway to arrest some more people who are accused in the case,” he added.Kanhaiya, 49, was taking a morning walk at Tinplate Sports Complex ground on Feb 11 when assailants pumped four bullets into him. He died later in the day at a hospital. Kanhaiya’s family members held a dharna and blocked a road for six hours on Thursday, seeking arrest of the assailants.
