ByteDance has developed the new Seedance 2.0 AI video model and people are amazed at the quality of videos it can generate.
This new AI video model from China could have Hollywood directors “cooked”
The AI battle between China and the US has hit a new frontier this week as TikTok’s parent company ByteDance releases a new Seedance 2.0 AI video model which has amazed people with its results. The company has been a strong part of China’s AI push and its latest efforts shows how far these AI models have improved and they can now deliver video clips that can fool anyone for the real deal.
In fact, this post on X here shows a sample of Seedance 2.0 doing its work, and you can see how a fight scene between two prominent Hollywood actors with their dialogue has been generated by the multi-modal AI version.

AI Making Skills Useless
Seedance 2.0 has been trained to handle video generation with focus on audio, light, shadow, camera movement all with the help of textual prompts which gives you movie-level content in minutes. A digital film creator, quoted in the post, claims the AI model has learned 90 percent of the skills that took him 7 years of education to master.
China’s AI model is advanced and we have already seen it with DeepSeek evolving with every version. ByteDance is a strong rival in the AI arena as the country looks to carve its own localised AI path to compete globally with OpenAI, Google and more.
The scary thing is Seedance 2.0 is not available to the public yet, and it is not completely ready to deliver the full-fledged videos.
People are amazed and shocked at the Hollywood movie-like quality of the videos generated by the AI model and some even pointed out that the “movie industry is cooked.” Granted most of these AI video models are only capable of generating videos between 4 and 15 seconds which is not very long, but what matters is the quality of AI videos and the level of detail these AI models are able to produce at such an early stage of development.
