Patna: Bihar health security committee CEO Shashank Shekhar Sinha on Wednesday chaired a review meeting on the Ayushman Bharat–Pradhan Mantri and Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana at Bapu Tower. Officials reported the issuance of 4.14 crore Ayushman cards benefiting 1.69 crore families in state. The committee also confirmed that 3.87 lakh beneficiaries aged 70 and above have received Ayushman Vaya Vandana cards.Sinha instructed district officials to speed up card issuance, widen hospital empanelment, and conduct field inspections to strengthen implementation on the ground. The meeting also reviewed progress under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission and the efficiency of claim-processing workflows. Sinha later felicitated physicians for their better performance.
