Rajkot: Bhavnagar-based Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute (CSIR-CSMCRI) will host the International Conference on Catalysis for Industry, Environment and Economy (ICCIEE-2026) on Feb 12 and 13.The two-day conference will bring together leading scientists, researchers and industry experts to deliberate on advances in sustainable technologies and their industrial applications.CSIR-CSMCRI director Kannan Srinivasan said the event aims to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry while promoting technology transfer to support a greener economy.The conference will commence with an inaugural lecture by Padma Shri Prof G D Yadav, followed by plenary talks by noted experts, including Prof Ajayan Vinu and R V Jasra. Key sessions will focus on hydrogen production, carbon dioxide utilisation and innovative catalyst design to support global net-zero goals.On the second day, speakers such as Prof Bhalchandra Bhanage, Prof Swaminathan Sivaram and Prof Bharat Newalkar will present industrial perspectives, including discussions on biomass-derived molecules and sustainable chemical manufacturing pathways.
